Abstract:
New discoveries in ISEA and Australia shed light on the first arrival of modern humans in Indo- Pacific region. In this session we invite papers that consider evidence for modern human expansion, hominin interactions/replacements, early behavioural complexity, climate change, DNA and adaptation to new environments.
【IPPA2018 第21回インド・太平洋先史学会セッション開催報告】
ベトナム・フエで2018年”9月23～28日に開催された標記国際会議で、セッション” The Emergence and Dispersal of Homo sapiens in Indo-Pacific Region -Digging Down the Regional Diversity and Processes in the Late Pleistocene”を開催した。コンビーナーは、西秋良宏（A01）・小野林太郎（A02）・野口 淳（A01）とChris Clarkson（オーストラリア・クイーンズランド大）である。山岡拓也（A01）、澤藤りかい（A01）ほか、小野、野口らパレオアジア文化史学メンバーのほか、ロシア、アメリカ、中国、フィリピン、オーストラリア各国からの発表者を迎えた。計9本の発表は、東南アジア、オセアニア、東アジアの幅広い地域にまたがる現代人の出現と拡散に関するさまざまな考古学・人類学的証拠を論じるもので、会場参加者との意見交換を含め活発な議論が交わされた。（2018年11月1日 野口淳）
