Summary:
This study aims to clarify how material culture reflects contact among ethnic groups and change in social relations, based on anthropological research in Central Asia. Particularly, fieldwork was conducted to examine the formation of village society, change of dwelling, transformation of the burial system, and succession and/or change in technique among artisans.
